We all know at least one person who is a gym fanatic, and boy do they let you know about it. They’re so caught up in the fact that they go to the gym 5 times a week and do a spin class every night, but are they actually doing the right thing? You’ll see some people who go to the gym all the time, but don’t seem to make any progress, these people just aren’t doing it right. There’s a certain way to train your body in order to get results. Without doing it properly, you’re wasting 5 hard earned relaxing nights at the gym, when you might as well be at home in front of the TV. The main thing you need to focus on is what  you’re actually doing when you’re at the gym. A lot of people like to say they go to the gym 5 times a week. But when they’re there all they do is go on their phones, or chat to a friend, and before they know it an hours up and it’s time for them to go home. If this is you, you need to start focusing when you’re there. Getting the right gym wear can also really help your workout. There also really isn’t much point in going if you’re not going to put the effort in. You also need to find the perfect balance of weights to cardio. Some people require more cardio, some less. It also ultimately depends on what your end goal is. Find out what works for you and push yourself. You also need to try and focus on your rest days and not pushing yourself too hard. Injuries can set people back so far, yet they keep pushing. Be wise and care for your body.

Going to the gym 4 or 5 times a week is fine, but what are you doing there? If your goal is to lose weight, you need to be focusing on the following. Diet plays a big part in how you train. If you’re going to the gym loads, or running lots, or whatever it is you’re doing, but you’re still eating rubbish all the time, you’re barely going to see much of an improvement. This is the same with all areas of exercise. You can’t really raise your fitness levels whilst on a crappy diet. If you’re looking to lose weight, you need to focus on really clean eating and cutting your calories down to an acceptable level. Or you might be at the opposite end of the scale. You might not eat enough, but when you do eat it’s full of chocolate and rubbish. You should also look into supplements and how they can improve your workout.
