Acidic food such as lemons can cause your teeth to become more yellowish. Despite being full of nutrients and seemingly healthy citrus fruits can erode the enamel which could cause the tissue beneath your enamel to be exposed.

Unfortunately although many of us love to enjoy a glass of wine, alcohol is not great for our teeth. Whether you’re drinking beer, wine, vodka or one of the many other options available consuming too much alcohol will not have a positive effect on your teeth. Nuts are known to help scrub stains and particle build up from our teeth since they are often crunchy and abrasive. They also help with stimulating saliva which washes out plaque forming bacteria.

Most of us know water is good for us for many reasons, keeping your teeth looking good is just one of the many benefits. In particular drinking lots of water helps against tooth decay.

  1. High Fiber Fruits

Fruits that are high in fiber such as apples help to boost saliva flow and keep your teeth clean. They also can help to remove stains by brushing against your teeth. Although it’s important to remember fruit still contains sugar and you should brush your teeth regularly to make sure the sugar is not staying around your teeth for too long.
