Could you image what life would be like without one or your senses? Just imagine life with no smell, no vision, no hearing, no touching, and no taste. It seems pretty awful to live life without some of these senses; but there are people in the world who go through each and every day without one or many of these senses…which should make us realize just how fortunate we really are.
If you could pick your eyesight and focus on improving it so that you did not lose it one day and go blind but rather improve it over time, would you? The obvious answer for most would be that you would indeed improve it. So why not start with the natural remedies to improve your eyesight that are within your control?
Here is my list.
1. Eat right
There are certain foods that can be consumed that support naturally optimal eye health. Vitamins such as A, C, and E as well as certain minerals including zinc can support healthy vision. In addition, lecithin found in garlic and onions can help out as well. Antioxidants coming from vegetables (leafy greens), pumpkins, carrots, and sweet potatoes also can help provide the beta carotene your body needs to keep the eyes health. Finally, DHA from omega 3 fatty acids support overall cell health and contribute to healthy vision.
2. Rest and sleep
Just like many other areas of the body, the right amounts of both rest and sleeping are essential to keeping your eyesight right. Sleeping for 7-8 hours per night allows the recovery and repair needed to keep vision strong as opposed to weak. Rest from computer work each and every single hour can be crucial as well. If you feel tired from staring at a computer monitor all day, get up and walk around, close your eyes for a while, and just take a break. Just make sure your boss doesn’t find you resting your eyes and mistake it for sleeping! In addition, you can try computer glasses to relax your eyes and get more optimal focus and take the strain off of them.
3. Work out the eyes
Want the eyes to perform at optimal levels just as you want your body to do the same for you? Give them a good old fashioned workout and start seeing results right away. You can practice this by rolling your eyes (not at somebody preferably) by looking up and down. You can practice this by focusing your eyesight on an object and moving it slowly from close up to far away. Also, you can warm your eyes, massage your forehead, and even nap and close your eyes for a bit to bring them back up to optimal performance. Use them or lose them? Maybe not quite in this case, but you get the idea.
Conclusion
Those are my ideas on how to naturally improve your vision without any surgical intervention or without going to extreme measure to get it done. Hopefully those natural ideas are things you can implement into your daily life right away and start reaping the benefits.
